These wanna be Canadians that listen to the US news, and U tube specialists that follow U tube for their facts will never know the real facts.

You have a true Canadian to know the truth,

In November I visited five of the largest gun shops in Western Canada. I know the owners of all five well. They are pure Canadians and very intelligent individuals. They would disagree with you.

The real truth is that Canadians have been losing their rights to own firearms since 1937. Slowly but surely. They are making the penalties so stiff that the only option will be to turn them in or bury them. A buried rifle might as well be confiscated. Our biggest problem is public perception. In the US the majority are still in favor of the right to own firearms. That is not the case here. In every poll Ive seen in the last decade well over 50% of Canadians think only the police should own guns.

With the immense wilderness you have, I am surprised over one-half of the population wants gun confiscation. I take it just about all of Canada’s population lives in cities. Apparently, C-21 would also destroy the opportunities for hunters from the United States hunting in Canada

. At least in the United States we have many sheriff departments that believe in the second amendment and wouldn’t enforce it.

Plus numerous Sheriff departments know trying to confiscate firearms would be a suicide mission for the officers

That wilderness is by and large empty of people. Something like 90% of Canada's population resides within 100 miles of the US border with most of that clustered above our northeast cities so its no surprise if your average Canadian thinks like our average New Yorker.

Doubt C 21 will have any effect on US hunters as long as they are not hunting with a prohibited weapon.
