Anyone have any of these? They were for the USAF survival guns. The cases are aluminum. I destroyed many thousands of these years ago.

Paul what is the shell length? Wondering if they would fit in a .45 colt pistol cylinder like some of the modern "Judge" type guns/ home protection of today?

It was an over/under 22 hornet/410 shotgun. I also destroyed many thousands of 22 hornet rounds.

Excess, too large percentage of missfires or expired shelf life. I don't recall what it was, perhaps the guns were phased out at that time. If I recall correctly it was in the 70's or 80's when I destroyed all those rounds of 22 hornet and 410. That didn't bother me as bad as when I destroyed around a million rounds of 22lr. Nothing wrong with them, other than they didn't produce enough gas to cycle the modified M16s.

I have 2 loads of brass Buckshot like that. I was told they were designed to use in the jungle in Vietnam. Now if that's true or not I don't know. But I have them.

Exactly! The original issue was a little short.

I have a couple of boxes of the 22 hornet and one of the 410s, those rifles I believe were also destroyed and had 14 inch barrels

I believe 160 posted a photo of a box of the 22 hornet I bought mine at a gun show back in the late 80 the guy had stacks of them on his table for cheap so I bought a good bit and shoot it up, the only reason I still have some is it fell down behind a work bench and I didn’t find it for a good long while

I believe it has something to do with expanding bullets and the Geneva Convention.
