I was just looking at the different model for the week for new snowfall. For our area 3-5 inches on Monday so not a big deal but then I saw Wednesday Night into Thursday night. HOLY COW! They are saying the Twin Cities is going to get hit worse than us but we are showing 17-30 inches, winds gusting over 30 and temps falling to -17 below. Why do I live here?

I have nothing clever to put here.

And SWGA will be in the 80’s most of the week, lol. This isn’t normal, but it’s not that uncommon either.

They are saying a foot or so total where I’m at. I’m on call this week for work so I will be out cruising around in the bucket truck wearing my ski goggles when I’m up in the bucket cuz if you don’t your eyes freeze open when it’s that cold and windy.

Don't wet your pants up there or you will be stuck there until Spring!

Today, I hit the 1000.00$ mark getting plowed out to my cabin for this winter.
I really have no reason to come here in the winter other then just "because I want to"

I put a bunch of weather tools (most I got from Oppenheimer Ranch Project) here: https://www.trappersreport.com/weather/

I think the "Snow Forecast" map (move arrows left and right) seems to be pretty accurate.

This is been a tricky year. Pulled all my coyote stuff the middle of Dec. because of the snow amounts. Just got back out and found a group of coyote that are set up just right. Was going to set them until this new unknown weather pattern coming. This area is hard to get in to. I guess I will wait.

This winter has cost me between 30 and 50,000 loss in gross due to snow and weather, fusterating to say the least.
My poor wife from Texas originally needs a vacation.

My weather forecast app says 12-18" between now and Thursday evening. They seem to do a pretty good job of tallying up snowfall amounts after the storm is over. Pretty much a crap shoot until then.

Before I opened your post, I thought the same. I would never want to live in an area with so much snow and extreme cold.

Minnesota sounds like a great place for a gulag or death camp.
