It has been a couple years since I have applied any in our landscape area. I had used a liquid in years past I got from a buddy however there may be some good granules available also.

Any suggestions? I am not keen on pulling weeds off and on thru the growing months. I have higher priority and much more enjoyable things to do.

Liquid is way more effective than granular. I use Strike 3…it kills post emergent broadleafs and lays down a pre emergent that lasts about 6 weeks. Great for lawn application.

If you want to kill everything plus lay down a pre emergent, mix roundup and strike 3 in the same tank and apply together. You’ll get a 6 week coverage.

In either application, use a surfactant.

I use Grazon Next it kills the weeds and is easy on lawns.

Yep, 2-4-D is in STRIKE 3. Lots brand names out there with 2-4-D as active ingredient.

Agree Bob, pulling weeds is a huge waste of time.

If you are applying to areas that you dont have anything growing that you care about, and are basically looking for bare dirt I would suggest GOAL 2XL we use it on the tree farm. It is a good pre-emergent and has some control over very small seedlings that have already emerged. You can get additonal post emergent control if you want to add glyphosate to it.
