Got to take the boat out for the first time thise year didn't get early starts yesterday or today but managed to put abut 20 in the net. Missed or lost just as many. Lows at 8 am mid 20s highs about upper 40s.

After highs in the 20s this felt like summer, i was in a tshirt most of the afternoon. The cab cuts the wind and made it perfect today.

How are they for eating? I've eaten them from alkaline lakes in Washington and didn't really enjoy them. Beautiful fish regardless though.

Waggler ya lahotans the smaller ones are ok smoked. We released everything caught this weekend too much other stuff going on to smoke them

Could you run your boat around the lake and make cat sets? Pretty and pretty capable looking woman. Appears to be a woman you wouldn't want to (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) off!!

Snow on the mountains does the lake freeze over??

Martintrapper this lake is on the Pyramid lake Paiute tribe so no trapping on the reservation. Ya she's a great lady puts up with most of my antics.

Mac we were just flat lineing 5/8 oz spoons with 2oz banna weights to target fish between 15 to 25 foot down. They are coming in shollow to feed a little later in the spring we troll at 60 to 70 feet with the down riggers. And when it opens in October we jig at about that same depth.


Danvee, this lake has spots over 200 feet deep and covers 125,000 acres. It doesn't have an outlet as its in the great basin and is actually the end of the Truckee river which flows from Lake Tahoe.
No freezing that i know of.

Sounds like a good time Im glad they are not stocking it with lake trout they have really ruined a lot of native trout fisheries in Wyoming stocking them with lake trout and now illegal stocking of walleye.
