I talked to a buyer at the Montane sale and a below average collection of beaver were supposed to have sold for $33 plus change. no green skins. Let's see when the averages are posted.

I averaged 25.40 on 30 beaver, 2 kits and 15 were 2 years old (yellow), got 76 dollars a piece on 2 coyotes, they were fancy and seen a guy turn down a 600.00 average on cats

I did not surrender either, but my horse did, I think he is pulling a wagon in Missouri.

Dirt, going by your thought process why don't we just compare price's in 2013 to price's in say 1979? Or compare 70's fur price's to todays. If you go off that you would never trap again.

Peeler, i'll NEVER put up alot of beaver again, my elbow's, back, joints, etc, etc, can't take it anymore, lol.

If that's how you feel now just think how you'll feel when you get old!

im just worn out i guess, elbow probably needs surgery but who has time? Guess if it gets to hurting bad enough i'll do something. Just don't see how i can spend hours on end over a fleshing beam anymore.

There is a difference between making more money than a regular job in the 70s and making comparble money to a regular job in 2013.

1244.00 for top cat in Livingston this weekend. Nothing wrong with that. Mine will have to keep until next year since my kid’s b-ball tournament took priority.

Top cat in Wyoming was $1204, I think, but that's real close, maybe $1207?

Always the last few years a cat seemingly worth over a grand, more for advertising than actual worth, it always gives the buyer next year notice !

Used to be over $500.00 would do it, does show that good western cats still hold a stable value !
