Back when my wife and I were first married we looked forward to Blizzards. One time it was three days before they got the roads open. So we finally got dressed before our family showed up to check on us.

I think the news is making too much hype about it a 1/2 inch of ice and some snow

now if you have a long commute yup, that is no fun, I remember driving home on a sheet of ice never over 20mph all the way home 30 miles

wife said they were making a big deal of it at work people taking off because if they request it ahead of time vs can't make it it doesn't count against them for attendance

we live 1 1/2 miles and her and my son work there so they are there

she said should we do something to prepare ? they are talking about trees down and power outages and impassable roads.

I said , done! I brought in an extra days wood

she said anything else?
well if you really want I suppose you could grind coffee and bag it or you can just turn the crank on the hand grinder if the power is out.

a couple 4x4 in the drive way with good tires with a mile and a half drive to work.
buckets of dry sand and salt by the back door

so if the power is out , see you in a few days

first you better know if you have a septic lift!

sometimes it is better to fill your collection of buckets , hard to scoop from the bath tub that is shallow , easier to just fill the buckets

if you haven't a collection of buckets , prepper fail , everyone needs buckets

I am lacking in blue buckets have orange , green , white , Black even a yellow.

They are only predicting 6-10 inches just a typical winter snow. What's all the fuss, am I missing something?
