Anyone else have the MISO app? It gives real-time statistics on energy demand/production by source. This is the current situation. [Linked Image]
Now tell me, how we are going to rely on the electrical grid for heating homes, cooking, charging cars, etc within 7 years when not even 5% of the demand can be met with "renewable" energy right now?

All electric is fine, but it's a lot longer than 7 years in the future to be practical.

My new car has a button for pretty much everything. Even has one that says rear wiper. Still too afraid to try that one.

I dont think all electric is fine at all. Even if generating gets figured out. Unless we come up with better battery storage and faster charging times. Not everybody thinks 20 miles across town is a long trip. The plan may be to move everyone into soviet style apartment complex's with medical facilities and shopping on site but I aint going. You will only be a slave if you go along with it. You may take your turn at dying at a young age but its inevitable anyway. So why become a slave?

Climate change is a hoax. Not man made, It's arrogant to think we have anything to do with it. Green energy isnt green, just puts money in a different pot. This whole manipulation of narrative is discusting..I agree there is too many of the wrong kind of people on my planet though.

As a lineman I work on the grid every day and I loose faith in it more and more each day. I don’t consider myself a doomsday prepper but I do have a wife and two kids that need to be taken care of. This summer I am putting in a shallow well at home with a hand pump on top and I’m going to be looking at getting a wood stove in the house I already have wood heat in the garage. I have been on storm jobs where ice storms have left people in the dark for a month or more. It just happened last spring or the spring before in western ND. Mother Nature can cause enough trouble with the grid now throw in all these granola eaters trying to run the world off windmills and solar panels and telling everyone to buy an electric car so we can put twice as much load on a system that already has its tongue hanging out. Now imagine if a major city like Minneapolis or Chicago would be off for even two weeks. Bullets would be flying by day 3 or 4 and all those people will flea the city and head for the country so I urge everyone to be less reliant on electricity and have somewhat of a plan and if you don’t ever use it great but at least you won’t get caught with your pants down if it all goes south.

Is that for your utility district? I can't imagine it's nationwide. I don't see any hydro on that list and I'm pretty sure hydro makes up more than 2%.

I feel the solution is propane, better for the environment in the long run considering the harm mining the lithium and making the batteries will cause. Not only that, but what do you do with all the dead batteries?

All city buses in our area proudly display that they are propane powered as they are better for the environment. I once read where the US has enough propane to service the US for 200 years. This green thing is all about money.

I find it odd we are going to have "renewable" energy while utilizing batteries made from "rare" earth elements.?
