i have a 2001 nissan frontier 2wd with the 2.4 4 cylinder engine. Lately while cruising down the road it will start bucking and jumping. It may do this for a few seconds or a few minutes. Also sometimes after it does this if i stop the engine will die. it will start back up but will only run if a hold the throttle partially open for a little while. Acts like it is flooded. I had the codes ran and it said EGR valve and thermostat stuck open. Had egr valve changed but still doing it. Replaced fuel pressure regulator also. I am now wondering if it might be fuel injectors? Anyone else ever have any issues similar to this and if so what was the cause. Thanks

Water in the tank or a fuel filter that’s plugging up would be my first 2 moves. Pump some gas into a clear jar and see what it looks like a short time later.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Sounds like a fuel Problem. I would go with Law Dog and hope the filter is not in the tank. If the fuel system is fine It could be a firing issue. My Dodge had to have new coil packs but yours sounds more fuel.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

I had an EGR code also. After some troubleshooting some of the heat shield on the exhaust pipe was rattling and causing miss fire. After removing some of it and hose clamping the rest probably solved no more EGR code.
