How long have you waited for a female to come out of den before giving up?
I've waited up to 3 weeks for one or two, most come out before that.

I have a few skunk jobs going right now. One of them has produced 10 males, 9 going in. I've never had that many without a female eventually coming out. It's almost 4 weeks. As soon as I start to think she may not be there, she usually comes out, but this one is not coming. Very rarely is a female not present (or a give up) by 3 weeks.

Are your experiences similar? And I only use single door safeguards so I can determine if they are going in or out.

My experience is similar to yours. I also use the safeguards 7x8x24 models mostly. I set 2,3 and 4 traps. Some positive set. some back-to-back and some perpendicular to the foundation,

Glad I saw this. I have two houses set with Comstock pass through traps. I figured after 4 days anything in there should be out. I planned to pull the traps after 1 week and seal up the holes.

Well today was 26 days, last catch was 8 days ago. No female caught. Pulled traps with storm coming in tonight.
Either she is still there, which is looking unlikely, dead but not stinking yet, or she came and peed and left some strong pheromones then moved on.
