The president has the constitutional authority to clean house within the executive branch and hire and fire at will save for appointing cabinet members that require senate consent.

I feel he's a better option than Trump. I think the big concern is if Trump doesn't get the nomination, he'd run as an independent. That's why I think the republican party wants all candidates to sign a pledge to promise to support whoever is selected to run.

I'm 110% behind Trump. Nothing against DeSantis but its not his turn.

I think there is so much rabid hatred against President Trump that he would have a hard time winning, especially when you consider more democrats will be motivated to cheat than before.

I would like to see Trump and DeSantis on the same ticket , put them in either position , doesn't matter .
I know they don't see eye to eye, but both are for the betterment of our country.
It's very possible Trump could go independent now.
I don't think he'll get 75 million votes that way , but I wonder what's going to happen on the democrats side?
I know there won't be 81 million votes for Biden again. Unless people are dumber than any of us think they are.

At this point I really don't care if he can win. Voting for Rs that can win got us Dole, McCain, Bush and Romney.

If we can't win then let the other side burn it to the ground. Some of us will still be around to build it back afterwards.

Ron DeSantis seems to be in a much greater league then Dole, McCain, Bush and Romney. He is a better Republican candidate than they were. He's not a compromise with the liberal wing of the Republican Party.

If the left will pull out all the stops to keep Trump out then why wouldn't they do the to DeSantis? Particularly if he is truly of the right?

Either we can win this or every election going forward is not an election.

Oh sure. Just run DeSantis. The leftist media, the Democrats, the Justice department, FBI, the CIA, the IRS, OSHA, etc will all just lay down and not go after him if he wins the nomination.
There is a reason why all of these entities are still going after Trump. They are scared to death that he will beat them. And they should be.

The declared candidates running on the republican ticket are running on Trumps' policies.
I'll go with the original equipment. I like DeSantis but fear a Governor,any Governor for that matter will be beholding to the federal swamp.

It will take democrat votes to elect him, that is not likely. the democrat will get 88million votes next election.
