We are down to the final week before closing on the new house. Can't wait to get out of this neighborhood, and out of town. Will be sitting on 11 acres, bordered on the east and south by BLM, on west by an elderly lady that leaves the state in the winter, and then on the north by the main road. Can't wait to get out there. Did the electrical inspection myself a couple weeks ago, and there were deer tracks going right through the front yard, and then bedded right under the kitchen window. Told my wife the upstairs window on the top of the staircase is my "tree stand". She just rolled her eyes.

Agreed. It's what we are used to. But when we moved to Rifle back in 2011, we had to move so quickly that we just had to take what we could get. We didn't know if we would be staying here long term or not. But since we bought the local sporting goods store a little over a year ago, I'm pretty sure we are staying now. We started looking for something, and didn't take long to find this one. Like it was meant to be. Everything has gone very smooth, and we are just waiting on closing. Everything else is done.
