Like Wolfer says; I tell folks that have nuisance beaver I charge $100 a day for my trapping and that the typical job for 1-2 beavers plugging a culvert, etc will be three days. Plus mileage. That has amounted to about $500 per beaver for one gal that calls me every 2-3 years. She never complains about the price either.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Charge as a professional, $300 apiece is not excessive by any means. Figure in mileage, and value your time appropriately. NOT as a recreational fur trapper. You'll starve with those prices here. Nobody will pay that. Guess it depends where you live. Out in farm country here prices like that would only get a chuckle. Maybe if you were by a metropolitan area you could get 1/3 of that. Not all areas of the U.S have that type of money or the heavy population of beaver that makes them a huge problem. Lots of rocky creeks and ground around here that don't support beaver and muskrats in high densities.

Lots of folks scrambling to trap beaver, lots of competition, not a lot of beaver.

so you figure 3 dollars give or take for put up coon and keep the very top ones what do you average trapdog for a group of trapped coon nothing if you want to figure the expence of trapping them their all crapNo, there isn't much money in the game for sure. My point was that if he cherry picked and still got a 1.87 average he might be tossing the wrong ones! Should do better than 1,87 even in today's market.
