what did you want to know? I haven't talked on one in several years , I used to , I also have my ham radio license and used to be fairly active with that.

Was just curious if any of y’all talked on the cb for enjoyment sometimes. Just something else to mess with in the shop at night.

other trucks on the road anymore either don't have one, or won't talk at all to even give traffic updates X2 I get tired hearing some of the vilest verbiage you can imagine. Job I do we are rarely on 19. Either the channel the quarry we are hauling out of or channel 40. Its still a good tool. Before cell phones and qualcom if you broke down or something you could holler and get a ride to a phone pretty easy. Everybody was doing longhaul. 1000 miles or more was common. Guys would run together. Talking on the CB while the miles rolled by. Pretty rare to encounter a bear by surprise. Didnt need to ask if a coop was open. You would know long before you got there. Those days are gone unfortunately.

Those days are gone unfortunately. Unfortunately I couldn't agree more. I've been running lowboy for 12 years now and just in that time it had really changed. Horrid language, constant fighting, and nothing really useful. I'm retty much always on 19 unless I'm rolling into a quarry, or on 24 if I'm running with an escort, and there's times I even turn it down because I get sick of the garbage. Every once in a blue moon though I will still run across a good ol boy to stroll down the road and shoot the bull with

You definitely don't want kids hearing the stuff some of these lowlifes are spouting

I loved the cb radio I had while in the oilfield. Had a Stryker SR-955hp. Best radio I ever had. Studying for my ham license now. It’s been put on the back burner for a while since we are trying to buy a house right now, but as soon as we close that up, I’ll be hitting that study book really hard.
Why do I carry 10mm? Because shooting twice is just silly.
