This is a reminder that our annual Trappers Day at the Capital is Monday March 6 from 9:00-2:00 in room 400 north of the State Office building. It's easy to get to. Just take 94 to Marion st. north. Go one block to Aurora st right. Go one block to the public parking lot on the left. Just walk across the street towards the Capital, the State Office building is on the right, its the big gray building with a reddish roof. Go to the 4th floor, we are right there in front of the elevators. If youre coming make an appointment with both your House of Representative member and your state Senator, you can do it by email or call the Legislative Assistant. Tell the L.A. you are a constituent and are going to be at the capital that day and request a meeting. If you want, I or somebody with experience, can go to the meeting with you. We are especially looking for meetings with democrats, they will not meet with us unless a constituent makes the meeting and is there. So if your legislator is a democrat, please come. Looks like 1-2" of snow tonight with light snow Monday morning. If you have appointments with your legislators early, give yourself plenty of time to get there. Chances are there will be accidents and backed-up traffic on I-94.Hope to see you there!

I forgot to make appointments, but I’m still hoping to make it either way to try show support and help the cause. Happy trapping! ScottW

Scott, it's still possible you could meet with your legislators if you'd like.

Just go to their LA's desk and see if they will see you that day.

Like Steve said, as soon as you get there in the morning, go right to their office and tell them you are a constituent and would like a 15 minute meeting if possible. A lot of times they will bump an unknown or someone they dont care for somebody in their district. Ask me when you get there in the morning, I'll tell you what offices they are in.

Been at the Capital a few times here in NH ...to pack it full of trappers and shoot down some ridiculous bills ,that lying sacks ,wanted passed

As Randy pointed if anyone needs help or are say nervous just ask. Randy or I will be able to assist. We will have printouts if you are unsure of the bills or exact language.

If you don't know who Randy is look for the tallest guy in the room, if you don't know me look for the most handsome.

49er is the guy....like you know the one that walks into a Food Buffet and you see the All you can eat sign change and go up 2 bucks
or as Sharron would say = stand 2 hands taller then the average guy (horse)

So how did it go today? What was the feel around the capital?

Good turnout of both legislators and trappers. Sounded like everybody's meetings were positive. Great news on the bad bills also, it doesnt look like any of the bills are moving forward! But we aren't out of the woods yet, parts of the bill can still be amended to another bill later.
