I ordered another .44 magnum from a deputy ffl transfer store. Sold mine cheap 7 yrs ago and totally totally miss it. Sold my .357 to somebody on here a cpl yrs before that. Im really interested in the 454 casulls but with ammo prices the way they are and the fact that I still have .44 laying around I opted for it. Anybody shoot the 454 casull?

Yep, super red hawk 9". I'd say its more about the fun factor with the .454. I chuckle with every shot. And have for years! It will shoot a 3" group at 100 yards off a rest.

I’ve had several 44’s. a long time ago. Killed many deer with them.
About 25 years ago I got a .454. I will never go back to the .44
I handload and have enough components for years.
Never shot factory in either caliber

I have always been happy with my 44

454 is a pursuit of power few people will put to use.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

The nice part about 454 is you have "big medicine" when you need it and can shoot 45 Colt rounds for plinking.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Shot my second deer with a 44 this year. It is fun using a pistol.

Just make sure you are wearing hearing protection. It hurts without them!!!

I've had a few people in disbelief that the hole in the deer was not a 12 gauge slug! I love pulling it out of the holster when a dumb one comes close!

Just bought a Redhawk 44 mag. I love the way you can load a variety of loads depending on what your doing. 300 gr. bear country stuff that will kick you into next week, then down to real fun 44 special stuff that feels like a 9mm. It's like the 30-06 of pistols.

A friend has a super redhawk 454 that I really like, I borrowed it and shot a deer with it, and it is a sweet shooting gun that doesn't hurt me to shoot at all. But if they had wheels they would be artillery. You can get a 44 in a light, easy to carry smaller gun, the 454 only comes in hand cannons. I own a Taurus Ultralite 44 mag that is a dream to pack all day, and while it barks the rubber grips are super comfortable and it fits me well, so it is also comfortable to shoot. When looking at any of the magnum pistols, individual fit makes a huge difference in recoil and shooting comfort. I've shot 44s that flat hurt to shoot, and others that are a real pleasure.
