I would say stuff only for the fact that I don't want people spending much money on my birthday gift. Best if it is kept under 20 dollars. The only real exception is for my wife who is welcome to take me out for a nice dinner. $20?

I like both However I am particular about both , my wife doesn't try to buy me gifts much any more. because I get so specific , I may want a tool but I have likely researched it enough I don't just want a cordless impact I want a an R86212 as an example. although if your looking for an easy gift that sort of hits both https://www.freedommunitions.com/9mm-luger-124-gr-rn-reman-fm.htmlit is experience and stuff although consumable stuff. it would be like saying I need some new coyote traps and someone went to the hardware store and bought overpriced duke 1 1/2s because a trap is a trap , right ? where you would have preferred a gift certificate to F&T so you could order MB550-RC with the cast offset jaws by the dozen to pay just a bit more than what they did for the 15 dollar 1 1/2 at the hardware store. maybe ammo is the universal gift , you just need to know what they shoot well enough to buy them something they like or primers they will use for me you just couldn't go wrong with the 9mm 124gr or #5 high brass lead 2 3/4 or heck 5.56 is always accepted

Experiences Would rather have the kids, grandkids, great grandkids come and want to do something with me. Go to the creek, go sledding, tap trees, have a bonfire etc.... That to me is something money cannot buy.
