I finally got to try the under ice snares JSell donated to the raffle. Set on Sunday and had my first under ice snared beaver today. Pretty slick and way easier than carrying a bunch of 330s. It was a small one so that was easy too lol. I guess I wasn't comfortable just setting a snare so I put a swing set in as well, but I probably won't be using that set as often anymore.

Nice work! You can try that with just a green pole and skip the hassle of wiring bait to a dry pole. Either way works.

That was the plan but was on a property where I can't cut any woody vegetation so had to haul the bait sticks in. Glad my beaver wasn't as big as the one in your picture lol
