Yes, have one in the 17 Hornet. Accra trigger is excellent and accurate as heck. Has its place for me. Before the Pa law change on rifles for fall turkey it was my go to. Have killed a couple dozen ground hogs also. The factory 20 grain v-max kills well and never had a exit. Down side is on the 17 hornet is accuracy falls off after a dozen rounds and requires a good barrel cleaning

I have one in .204 Ruger. It's an accurate rifle, the Accutrigger works good once you get it set to where you like it. Don't really care for the plastic stock. One ugly butt rifle but it does work well.

Its a toss up which Savage is more famous for, fugly guns or accurate rifles.

Kind of like fat chicks. Fun to be with but don't want to be seen with, lol.

I also have the 17 hornet. Very accurate and the trigger is good. The stock is horrible!! I had Boyds make me up a stock and it is now one of my favorite rifles. I also reload for mine and it shoots great. On fox there is no exits and no fur damage. Airs them out quick. I also have mine suppressed.

Can't see what you see as ugly in many of the savage models I've seen. They just have offered a highly functional firearm at a more affordable price for many IMO that don't NEED the looks. They offer custom guns as good looking as any if you want to pay for it. Love their adjustable trigger.

I find it interesting that a light weight mini action is still almost 7 pounds 6.9

you would think a light weight 223/222/204/22h shouldn't come in heavier than a lot of short action hunting rifles

the Mossberg patriot predator 243 comes in at 6.5 pounds with a threaded muzzle pic rail and 5 round magazine.
