Thanks Gib for sharing, I sold my drum when I moved last and that will work perfect for an old slow goer like me.
Lol,
Rich

I ran a old Maytag gas dryer for years. Already wired 110 and being it was gas. Was just one in air and one out air vent. All had to do was pop rivet piece tin over the two vent and was good to go.best part was got it as give away because burn wasn't working. Throw in 5-6 wet coon bucket of saw dust maybe few corn cobs or golfballs. Let it run while I was skinning couple more coon.
Thing had to watch was fines like to drop between the drum in by motor. So I just left bottom panel of front. Stick shop vac in there when see it piling up.

Have not had any problems with the sawdust getting out of the drum but will keep an eye on it.

You can buy different types of sawdust the one I am using is pretty course .

You can buy a lot finer stuff but for my needs a heavier sawdust works well and I don't overload it 4 beaver at a time.

Very informative video gibb. Wish I'd have seen it a couple weeks ago. Asked a question on the Everything beaver thread about drumming beaver to clean, got some other good advice, but not about drumming. So I tried it myself in pine sawdust, but after fleshing, and made the mess you described in your video. Oh well, learning experience.

I use the gas dryer As well, but I put the hides in a laundry bag, the drawstring type tie em up and use corn cob blast media in the bag, less clean up in the dryer and reusable many times over..
