Following. We’re right next to Yellowstone Park so I imagine a few of the millions of people that visit here are trappers.

Just home from Grand Rapids ,Minn. Had some vehicle problems. Would have been a comfort knowing that if all else failed there would be someone locally to contact for advice/assistance. Good idea. Hope it proceeds. I know of at least 7 members on here within 20 miles of there.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Looks to me as though either an on-forum phone book would work or one that can be downloaded to a phone or tablet........in case you have no access when you need it might work best if Paul can provide the private forum page.
So do you all think it is better to just let everyone enter their data randomly or submit it to one person and have him/her compile the phone book and post it back on that forum ? One person, and I nominate you My information is all online anyway so here's my info. David O'Farrell home # 867-399-3791 Cell # 867-335-9039 Email : ofarrell.dr@gmail.com Note: email is often the best way to contact me because I spend a lot of time in the bush and during the summer I have email and would be able to help with information should anyone run into trouble in my area. By all means feel free to try the home phone or cell first. If we are home we will answer.

I am willing to TRY to put the information in a usable format. It will likely be an ongoing project. Excellent. Its a worthwhile project.

Hey Dave. Can you give me the nearest town ? I live in Tagish. No services here. If someone was on the Alcan ( 20 km from my house ) the nearest town would be Whitehorse which is about 80 km away. If they were on the Tagish road the nearest village with services, ( gas, police health center) would be Carcross. I will see if I can dig up a map that will help.

Sounds like Carcross might be the most useful if something went wrong outside of Whitehorse. ???? For emergencies on the Tagish or carcross road yes......if you are on the Alcan its faster to go straight to Whitehorse.
