Haven't really been following, but I like the concept of the whole thing.

I've been keeping up with it. I'm a big baseball fan and a big fan of the St
Louis Cardinals. For the US team, the Cardinals have Arenado, who had a good night vs. Great Britain, Goldschmidt the NL MVP of 2022, and Wainwright and Mikolas as pitchers.

Tommy Edman, the shortstop/ second baseman, is playing for Korea. And Lars Nootbaar the right fielder is playing for team Japan.

Playing teams from other countries would be the REAL-WORLD SERIES, instead of what we have now.

I think it’s pretty cool!! Agree with sja that should be the real World Series. I’m actually impressed that Great Britain actually did pretty good.

Massac the anouncer said yesterday that the Cardinals had 17 players missing from spring training because of the WBC. So the little leaguers are getting some playing time there, which is good get your name out there and chance to make some impressions. Has an Olympic feeling, huge baseball fan, first year keeping up with this though.

Great Britain defeated Columbia which is huge. Columbia is one of the favorites. USA and Canada play tonight.
