Don’t want to post on the bobcat on the grill thread

I have a mountain Lion in the freezer and have grilled it three times… it was ok

Seems like people who have had Lion or bobcat love it. I must be doing something wrong

Please post your favorite recipe, I am open to trying anything, but can’t smoke it

Don't have a recipe but the bobcat I tried was chicken fried. Good stuff!

Lion is a dry meat, crock pot is best. If grilling it needs a good lathering of olive oil before seaoning.

I have wrapped bobcat quarter in foil with seasoning and butter inside a double layer of foil and cooked it on a grill. That kept it moist and it turned out very nice.

I dont like it. I doubt its your cooking. Different folks prefer different meat.

Years ago I was really inebriated and hungry so I seared bobcat loin with salt and pepper like a good steak. That was tasty, but when I tried it again sober and not overly hungry it was not fit for consumption. Take that how you want, but I come to the conclusion that anything is good if you are hungry enough and I will have to be mighty hungry to eat cat again.

Appreciate the response. I think I will try it with olive oil and seasoning. I will also try the butter and foil. When I cooked it it was ok to good, it think it can be better
