Those political post turtles would not recognize a renewable energy source if it kicked them in the groin Democrats favorite renewable resource is my tax dollars they steal from me every year.

I was an operator at a biomass plant from 2011 until it shut down in 2015, then went to a coal plant that shut down in 2020. Now i've got all this useless knowledge about spinning a turbine and nowhere to use it lol back to turning wrench. It's sad to see all these efficient plants being shut down. If your looking, were hiring. 2 turbines 35 - 60 megs, 3 boilers - 1 gas, 1 liquor, and 1 biomass/bark. Starting in the $20s and topping in the $40s. Billerud NA near Iron Mountain, non union.

Sad Biomass no longer a viable option? Put on the grid? Sure seems like someone wants all of our eggs in one basket.

Osky Exactly, seems it would be a advantage to have a military base producing their own power and heat. But even though they produce their own power, and steam for heating the base, I believe they are still connected to the grid .

One MW powers about 1,000 homes. That facility generates 60 MW. This only makes sense if you follow the Biden & Co. green new deal money trail...and there will be no negative feedback from NYS, because they're on the bus too The average home needs at least 6KW. 1 megawatt equals 1000 KW. 1000KW divided by 6KW equals about 166 homes. It could vary slightly either way.
