Fixing to go mix up the soda bread. New one on me but when I saw the recipe I knew I could do it. Looks to be a mix between a biscuit dough and a cornbread recipe with flour.

Same here. Cooking a full hind quarter up now. Half of it will be with cabbage tonight and the other half for Reuben sandwiches next week.

what is your recipe for corning venison , I pulled out a brisket from a cow I butchered this year to thaw last week thinking I would corn it , Sunday I decided to go a different direction and made it with plenty of pepper and onion and a can of tomatoes and we have been eating that all week.

then I saw the ready to cook one at the store on sale Wednesday and grabbed it

Gallon H20
1 cup canning salt
1 cup tender quick salt
12 peppercorns
6 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons pickling spice
4 heads garlic peeled
Mix all and bring to a boil after 5 minutes shut off and let mixture cool
Poke roasts all over with knife
Put meat in plastic bucket and poor cooled mixture over top
Put bucket in fridge and stir once a day for 5 to 7 days

ENJOY

If this Florida grape juice don't hit to hard I'll raise a dram of Jameson to your health afterwards, Sharon.

Does corned beef, kraut and Swiss on rye count? Nothing beats a Reuben!

I'm more of a scotch guy but that has me intrigued. Most bad ideas usually do, lol.
