No that's the way I found them, they were in creeks or rivers.found a couple other's one I built a marble by hand and hand tools , never ever do that again, sold the other for. one and a quarter century's.

Found it a long road into sand pit near home right after rain. Sat on shelf in my mother's china cabinet until dad died. Then it came home with me when mom moved to assisted living. Sits in the wife's hutch now. I think the searching for rocks is like searching for animals or tracks. Much like looking for morels you have to get your eyes right. Lots of time when I'm searching for anything. I'm looking more for what seems out of place than the actual item. If that makes sense. It's like not looking for the whole deer in the woods. But seeing one spot of white or curve of an ear before your eyes see the whole animal. Mac "Never Forget Which Way Is Up"
