More psych ops being played in Europe with B-52s. Second time in a little over two weeks that the U.S. Air Force practiced (or so it seems) launching short-range (200 miles or less) stand-offs weapons at St. Petersburg, Russia, the 2nd largest city in that country. This time "Noble 11" route was very different than "Noble 61"s straight at run and hard right turn back into Estonia. Noble 11 spun "cookies" in the air, almost like a little kid tantrum , "every time I point the plane's nose at you, I'm going to hit the practice launch button". I wonder how long a Russian bomber 200 miles southeast of New York Bay would be allowed to spin circles in the western Atlantic sky? Probably not long...

Different times I understand but for years Russian bears would come across the Arctic.

That's true, usually from Siberia and hang around Alaska, once and a while do an east coast run down to Cuba but how many times did one sit and loiter less than 200 miles away from one of our largest cities...?

B-52s can launch nuclear-tipped cruise missiles a lot further out than Tallinn, Estonia but hanging out above the UK or Norway and pushing the launch button isn't as dramatic as 200 miles away from the 2nd largest city of your "enemy".

I don't know how often or how far south they would come but it seems that the f18's were getting scrambled out of cold lake regularly. Different times though and more a cat and mouse game. Now things can go south in a hurry with all the sabre rattling happening globally.

I used to like Senator Graham but recently he has begun sounding a little nutty.
