I am looking for any 4.5" angle grinder/cut off wheel advice as far as brands. I see a lot of different brands for sale online, but I have usually just got Dewalt brand from the hardware store. I would like to just buy some of the bigger quantity aftermarket sets so I am set for a few years. Any name brand recommendations or links would be appreciated. Thanks

Diablo are what I have been buying , not sure if they are the best , they carry them at home depot

they make a good saw blade and they were there so it is what I have been getting

Being cheap, I was getting the ones from harbor freight, last time I used it almost cut my finger off when it exploded,it was my fault some as the cutoff wheel binded in the cut but that wheel gave up pretty fast....
Can't say what to get, but you might want to avoid HF.

I've had nothing but good service from HF tools and assesories.

Agree the Harbor Freight ones are crap. I bought a pack of them thinking I was saving money. Some of hem explode on the first use. WEAR YOUR SAFETY GLASSES!!!!

I get my cutoff wheels at the welding supply store well worth it and they can help you with any questions on what your using them on.

I do wear safety glasses with them but rarely do they come apart unless I'm abusing them pretty bad. I use a lot more flap discs than anything though. I use a chop saw for most of my cutting.

We use Cubitrn by 3M, We use them at Caterpillar and they get used alot. If they were breaking or flying apart they would be gone and have a different vender.

Cubitron for me also cutting wheels and grinding rocks will last at lest 5 x longer than any other major brands , costly yes ,but well worth it.

United abrasive/sait we’ve used the for years and have had very good luck.

I just used a bunch from harbor freight to replace the floor in my dump truck. They worked fine and on sale for $5.99 for a 10 pack. They have 2 different brands, I used both. Their grinding wheels are not very good.
