Anybody else save the ends after they cut them off? Every once in a while I load a pipe with them after I crumble it up some. I have 2 pipes. One briar and one Missouri meerschaum. I prefer the corn cobob.

Hey Dannny, I live 30 minutes from the corn cob factory.
It’s a neat old building and company with a lot of history

When I was a little kid I remember seeing old farmers smoking what was left of their cigar in a pipe. They'd smoke it down till it was too short to hold then stick it in their pipe and finish it off.

I miss the smell of Gpa’s pipe, he always smoked Prince Albert. Never saw him smoke a cigar but I suspect he did on occasion

Smoked a pipe in the 80s maybe one by them. Going down next week and seeing their history. Picked up my youngest daughter at train years ago from college in Washington by the river. That town has great history. Thanks for the post
