I saw that

I really hope it does well , my concern is that what made the lever gun more popular than so many other as or more capable guns of the time , was cost

I always wondered why the pump action rifle wasn't a lot more popular than it was and looking at the old adds , the 94 and 336 were beating it by like 40-50% in price all the time.

the bulk of hunting rifle buyers buy what is cheap and works , why the savage axis is so popular

I hope it does well but the price will be a factor along with ammo for 30-30 is the same price as other cartridges that have more capability.

I had one in 35 Remington and .30-30 back in the day. I wish I would have kept the 35. I like vintage guns, warts and all.

Yep, my wife used the 35, it had peep sights on it. She couldn't find a Deer with a scope for nothing but was deadly with iron sights.

Handed it down to her son.

I shot a couple does with my ex-FIL's and it was a sweetheart! Both does ran about 40 yards but it wouldn't have mattered where they went, the blood track looked like you'd drug a wet paint brush through the brush.

I wonder if they're recreating the new 336s with micro groove barrels? Not that I ever thought micro groove was any better.

I think the micro groove barrels in .22LR definately makes a difference. I have a one owner 1979 336 in.35 Rem. It's kilt every deer it was pointed at.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

That will be good for the cast bullet shooters. In fact, I may see about about getting me one in.35 Rem. when they come out.

Even though I really don't need another deer rifle, I've always wanted a Marlin 35 Rem. I may just pull the trigger on one of these after Marlin catches up.

Yeah, sounds like if anything they are even better quality. I sure like my 336 30-30 that marlin made.
