law dog, yes they are but more of a swamp type bird. I looked them up, evidently they winter in the cocaine capitol of the Baja, then migrate back to the gulf coast states to summer.

The odd one makes it onto Manitoba but 99% are Black crowned N herons

I have never seen one here. Thats why i went back to the house and got my camera.

Their call is different then BL-c-night herons
