Who needs stores when you have Whitetails? We had grilled back strap tonight, only got about 30 left. I’ll be shooting every doe I see next year until I run out of arrows, then I’ll switch to guns, lol. Had grilled backstrap myself tonight.

Most of the animals I eat are vegan, so does that make me vegan?

Here's today's humor. The World Wildlife Fund has an article out about how soybean production is destroying the rainforests of the world. Guess what Vegans derive most of their dietary protein from? Google "Soy Industries" on their website. ALL of these folks don't get that a good environmentalist should kill themselves to prevent overpopulation. They say no to everything. Pretty easy to say that but not be able to provide viable solutions to anything.

I was trying to buy butter at a Walmart about 2 months ago. I had to wade through a bunch of health food fake butter to find the lone option of salted real dairy butter. You have to really pay attention, so you do not buy something healthy for you these days. Watch what you buy , even at Aldi's. Read the ingredients carefully. Aldi's currently sells a Salisbury steak dinner thing that is family sized. Similar to the OnCor brand of Salisbury steak family pack. Reading the ingredients it will list beef but also TVP. TVP is Textured Vegetable Protein aka a soy based product used as a filler to keep costs down as opposed to real meat. Doesn't taste as good as the real thing. Watch for it in other products that other companies make too. I've seen it listed in packages of cheap frozen hamburgers.

I don't mind that companies make products for the vegan customer , they are just not for me.
What I don't like is when they slip some of this by you without knowing it.
We have a chain in the northeast known as Stop&Shop. A few years ago they changed the formula for their store brand soda. They added a bit of artificial sweetener to it. This was the normal , not diet version. It had a noticeable aftertaste. There was nothing on the label claiming it was diet or reduced calorie. The only place was it was listed was in the ingredients. I guess they figured they could cut costs of the corn syrup/sugar by replacing it with partial artificial sweetener.
It didn't taste as good. I guess other people noticed too. They went back to the normal formula.

If you go to the grocery store and buy processed food, it's getting harder to avoid those fake meat products. Not sure exactly what all they use but it's disgusting. Speaking from experience.
