1. Preacher, The First mountain Man Series (can't pick just one)
2. In the land of Wilderness
3. Call of the American Wild

Also if anyone knows where to find the First mountain man series books, let me know. I'm missing quite a few still.

Right now I am reading the entire maneater series by Jim Corbett for the 3rd time in the last 30 years and it is incredible, so it would be at the top.

Second would be "Year of Decision 1846" by Bernard DeVoto

Third "Across the Wide Missouri" Also by Bernard Devoto.

I suppose these are the top because I have read them in the past year so they are fresh in my mind, but I could name two dozen more than I really like.

If you are looking for some incredible non-fiction hunting related, Anything by Russell Annabel, Jim Corbett or Peter Capstick will have you spellbound.

If you want an epic history of the fur trade in North America that will help you understand how important fur trapping and trading were to the history of North American, read Fur, Fortune and Empire, by Eric Jay Dolin. Incredible history of the past 500+ years of fur trapping and trading. You'll need to have an interest in history to read this, it's long and detailed.

Have you actually read that? All 80 books of it? It's basically unreadable, I've tried.

No , only the kjv , the other two are just for study references.
If you're speaking of the original AV , including the apocrypha.. then no I have not read it all.
