They haven't gotten near the snow upthere this year. It's usually the other way, Riverton has been wide open the last two springs. Lots of good meat there.

Any idea of the total cost to shoot a Buffalo? I'm guessing it's out of my budget but I have been working up the overtime. I think a hide made onto a bed spread or robe would be cool and freezer full would be outstanding.

It’s anything but good meat in April after a long winter. Most of them look like a sack of bones. There’s nothing sporting about shooting a run down animal in late winter.

So is everything about supporting to you? They are overpopulated
And steped outside the park and now fair game for some. Not everyone cares about being sporting or your idea of standards.

Some people won't shoot a whitetail smaller than 130 or what ever arbitrary size antlers they think is their limit. Other won't shoot doe. Some been x size bull elk.

I'm zero of those myself. I will shoot doe over small bucks . Antlers don't do a thing for me but I will let the little guys walk so Maybe they can grow bigger for the boys or others.

Where I'd the sport in shooting deer from a stand over food plots or using cameras to pattern them? Where is the sport in using rifles or modern archery equipment. We all know it's only sporting if you make your own bow, bow string, arrows and heads.. then stalk your prey right. Or run them down and get them with a spear.

Sporting has different meanings for each individual. What's is your preference probably is not someone else's. As long as it's legal why do you feel the need to run down someone's methods and choices.

Do you make your own traps? If not it not very sporting.

I've had late winter caribou and it has been fine eating. At the very least those buff should be great for jerky, burger, sausage, pot roast you name it.
