4 Seasons.

I already have a 12' + V enclosed trailer with a heavy duty axel. I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me to just convert that. I use it a couple times a year for work otherwise I just store stuff in it.

I feel particularly dumb because I used the enclosed trailer Elk hunting as a camper and it worked pretty well.

I love tenting, I've always just tented but I have a wife and baby now who I want to bring with, it's either get some sort of decent shelter or rent air B&B.

my neighbor has a utility trailer , he bough tit from a guy who painted it camo and used it as a deer bind that guy had a bench seat mounted in it and all the inside was painted black

the neighbor took everything out of it added some screens made a screen to go all the way across the back when the ramp was down , built his own rakc to hold a mattress , while in tow the mattress flips up and the kayak goes inside for transport

I would go the same route folding chairs , folding table , cots that could be folded up , pay to have a couple windows in with screens maybe cut a hole for a window AC unit and call it good

easy to haul things to your camp and when the cargo is out set up cots and table and be good

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

The main reason I was thinking SUV route was that it would be sturdy. A used banged up SUV is cheap and I liked the thought of hard sides and quick setup. An enclosed trailer may be the better way to go, worth considering and I already have one I use very occasionally for work.

It's not my dream by any means, just a thought I had on a cold, windy, rainy day.

I bought this camper in 2019 for $5200. It's a 2013 and now it's probably worth more than I paid for it, but you can find a nice camper very reasonable if you are patient and look for the right one.

Something like that may be better Bernie, my wife didn't grow up looking quite as, well, white trash as I did. Seemed like there was always cheap campers about but the last couple years have been a bit wild.

Not sure where you're at in Minnesota but this might be an option. They have usually four auctions a year and sometimes there are 20-30 campers on there.

I built a teardrop camper from scratch. Works OK as a bed for 1.
Other than that its too small.
Your SUV would be smaller.
Bought a cheap pop up. $500. Got to do some work to it but at least I won't have to crawl out of it to pee several times at night.
I'll see how well it works come convention time
