With Easter this Sunday and my 3 children all grown the only Easter egg hunt will be for our 3 year old granddaughter. But I have always tried to do something for my grown kids. (We're all kids at heart). This year I am setting up a "Treasure Hunt". There is an oversized Easter egg with some cash inside. Each kid will have a 3x5 index card with a clue. If they follow the clue it will lead them to another index card and so on. (10 cards total per kid). All of the last cards lead to the "Treasure".
I have done this before and it is great fun to see them run around the yard and house trying to figure out my clues.

Sounds like fun. Little town I live in has an egg hunt in the city park. Some eggs have stuff like coupons to the BBQ in town or nearby pizza restaurant. Kids have a lot of fun. Its always the saturday before easter

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Same plan here- four grandchildren. Start with a scavenger hunt with clues to find their hidden Easter Basket and then Easter Egg hunt by zone and skill-set. Followed by Fish Fry- can't wait.

Sounds like a great way to involve everyone in your family to use their brain power and problem solving ability . And because all in attendance are part of the treasure hunt you all will be building family bonds Have fun and thanks for sharing .

Really sad tho to see adults dragging a kid around looking for eggs, like failure to get the most sets the tone for the rest of their life!

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

They become adults that skip the line at Estate Sales or run up the driveway in front of you at Rummage Sales grin

Since my wife and I will not be able to be with our kids and Grandkids we volunteer at the church Easter Service hunt and then we also donate to the underprivileged Easter Basket drive. This year we are giving Bikes away. We have almost 200 being given away this year.

Some one once told me there is no such thing as a bad dog .Bad owners are the reason for poor behavior of their dog .Young children are like a sponge They pick up what they are exposed to So if they are raised in a bad environment. they think it is the way the world and society is That is what makes having a strong family bond and the concept that we all need to be a good example for the next generation

The treasure hunt was a success! The kids (all grown, 23, 27 & 31) along with their better halves had a blast. There was 10 clues for each team. They want more clues for next year!
