What are some creative ways to hide cameras? For around my home.Which is way off the road. I put them inside bird houses. Hardly noticeable. Also, in the woods. Sarge

#1 tip: do away with the straps. Horizontal objects catch the human eye in a vertical environment like the woods. Use screw in mounts.
#2 tip: mount above eye level, preferably up high amd angle down.
#3 tip: get fancy and glue or velcro leaves/bark to camera face...without blocking lens/sensor. Down here Spanish moss is perfect.

For theft or bear? I just mount mine higher & kinda pointing down at an angle. Bear could still climb up but they haven’t yet.

I like to place them about 8' off the ground. I use climbing sticks and a climbing rope to place them. Not all cellular cameras send the pictures right away.
I learned the hard way that a lock box can be pried with a screwdriver, left the box and the lock.

Border Patrol has one mounted in a tree near my place. They mounted it inside of their interpretation of a snapped off limb. Jumps right out to me but I applaud their effort.
I've had one camera stolen and several destroyed to some degree by bear. This will be my first year using cellular cams and I'm excited about it. They're going higher in the trees.

Spypoint Flex is GPSd and the send rate can be selected to send at each detection or certain times.

I got a loop of rope I use. Loop it around the tree and slide it up till the bottom is about knee high then stand up in the loop and hang camera. I put a stick behind it on the top to angle it down. Gets it out of sight and tough to steal.
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

Why do you want to hide them? Nothing more of a deterrent than noticing a camera, lol. We have home cameras and so does our neighbor and the neighbor beside them. Anytime something goes down in the neighborhood we get asked if we’ve seen anything. We recently solved a missing wallet case, lol. We also had videos of two folks on foot that don’t belong in the neighborhood and could even hear them say “They have cameras” lol. The deputies picked them up. I guess if you just have regular trail cams you’d want them hid. For home I’d use WiFi or cellular cams. Between all the cams I have and the plantation, we thought we’d caught a trespasser. We sorta did, but the manager had missed a call asking to look for a missing bull. On our way to find this guy we got a pic of the bull, lol. We found the guy and even managed to round up the bull. You should put up both obvious cameras as a deterrent and hidden cameras that can't be found and tampered with. The obvious cameras can be cheap fakes. Keith
