I’m teaching her to shoot the same way I grew up. Shoot the gun, shoot it a lot, and know most importantly, learn how to get a rest anywhere. We shoot off trees, tractor tires, prone, etc. might not be by the book, but worked for me.

We shoot off trees, tractor tires, prone, etc. might not be by the book, but worked for me. Worked for me and my boy as well. He routinely out-shoots me now. We're of the same school of thought on shooting squirrels too, rabbits too for that matter.

I also broke my kids in using iron sights. Taught them how to drive using a manual transmission as well.
