no but I have looked at them

to me they look to be a limited use tool , that holding an angle is the sell , but I don't know that it does that better than a lot of other stones , diamonds , or other sharpeners.

while they look like they might be good for the chefs knife they look like on a thing curved boning would be below the block that holds the angle

and what about convex blade shapes or a knife like a beaver/fish knife where you sharpening out around the rounded tip

how many are the handle going to get in the way

those are my thoughts I watched some videos on it but do not own one , found other ways that work for me and my worksharp ken onion with blade grinder attachment didn't cost as much as the base model horl and while it needs eclectic it seems a much more versatile tool for my needs

There is a knock off on the market now called the Tumbler. Its a lot cheaper. I have the Ken onion too and like it but since its electric its not as versatile.

if I put the edge on with the ken onion , then a diamond steel is about all I need for a good while to keep cutting , it is light and I don't even need a flat surface to make it work

that is just how I work and your situation may be different

Once I have a sharpe knife, I maintain it with an F.Disk Rapidsteel. Learned this working as a fish cleaner for charter boat service after I retired.

Interesting concept, especially for us angle holding challenged folks, haha!
I've settled on the work sharp brand and their fixed angle stones, ceramics. Helps me hold the angle as you drag the edge across the stone.

A whetstone and a medium oilstone,a fine oilstone and a strop is all you need.
