Not sure if just a chance encounter but......Recently I have been limiting my alcohol intake but this weekend just wanted a beer or two. So went to the local gas station. Owners speak broken english (don't hijack the thread this is our reality in the sticks) and said good morning I think. I grabbed my usual six pack of bud light walked a couple steps and stopped. Focused and put it back. Looked for a option similar and saw the Miller light however they only had 1 case and I think a twelve pack but no 6 packs. Asked the owner/worker if they had 6 packs in the cooler and he replied you are a budlight man! He seemed stressed while talking and I replied I was just looking to change up. He went into cooler saying everyone was buying miller this weekend and restocked the cooler bringing me a six pack as well. He said sorry for raising his voice he was just worried he would not have enough miller for his regular customers for the weekend. I said when his second shift came in to ask why there is an issue from his employees.

Going to be a lot of that going around.

I don't drink or smoke but own vices type stocks as alcohol and tabacco sales go up when society feels more anxious and especially during down turns. Right no not so good but had a real good run during the COVID years.
