we had very good results with P-line Floroclear

https://www.amazon.com/P-Line-Floroclear-Filler-300-Yard-8-Pound/dp/B003CU23LE/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?hvadid=589889147253&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9018876&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=421640271437889237&hvtargid=kwd-74645598569&hydadcr=9405_13552937&keywords=p%2Bline%2Bfloroclear&qid=1681172412&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExME84NVlBQlVCRERCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDI1MzQwMUY2TE5JNDE2RkpDQiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjQxNjE2NVJHMjJYWFQ5WVhRJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1&psc=1

not much more than any good mono , but stronger

it is a mono core floro outer coating to make it tougher

pulling the boat up stream to free a snag was impressive , actually bent some hooks open doing this

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I use berkley x9 braid with a fluorocarbon leader for just about everything.

When dealing with light biting walleye, or a bass sipping a tube off the bottom it really helps increase the fish you hook. Hooksets are more instant, and harder.

Musky, it's 90 lb barbarian braid.

And it's the same ice fishing and open water.

I ended last season with 7000 ish inches of total walleye caught in october and november, with over 200 fish in the 24-32" range.

Even when night trolling the no stretch braid allows you to feel a walleye disturb the water around the lure by striking and missing, and you can act accordingly. Even at 1.5 mph you can tell the difference between a weed and a fish hit, or know when the lure has a small bit of weed on it impeding the action.

For most freshwater stuff braid has an advantage over mono in most categories, except abrasion resistance and a fluorocarbon leader fixes that.

I know what u mean about the sensitivity of the braided line …. It’s pretty amazing, I primarily jig and can feel every action the jig makes w the braided line ….

I run Power Pro Braid with either Berkley Trilene Big Game leader or P-Line fluorocarbon leader for most freshwater situations. I do have a couple of rods that are just mono or fluoro, but those are used in high pressure areas when I need to finesse one or two to make weigh-in.

Inland I run the same. Offshore I run Sufix Superior.

I never skimp on line as a fish might be a new state record or a paycheque.

Does one need to run a heavier braid on a baitcaster? Tring to learn to use a baitcaster more.

If spinning rod try braid in 10-15 lb spider wire Then 3-4 foot fluorocarbon leader . Cast 50% farther times and little to no line twist issues. Bait caster 10-15 Berkeley big game on spinner baits / crank baits. Fluorocarbon on casting jigs and swim baits
