I know of a buur oak that has a growth (burl) I'm assuming.
The burl is roughly 32x32"
Is it worth cutting and selling?
The rest would be for firewood.
And burl experts here?

I'm no expert but I'm thinking all burls are somewhat speculative in nature. You never really know what you have until you cut into it. I would have no idea what to ask for it but always start high, easy to come down but not so much going up. I know if the figuring is good some high end stuff could be made with it.

I have one on an Oak tree back up on the Mountain behind trhe house. Never knew it was worth anything but never thought about it. I know it is bigger around than a big Wash Tub. Always thought it would be good burning for heat all night long.

I wont claim to be an expert but I get alot of Burls at work, I give them away but have never found one that size that was solid.

If it's solid it's worth something for sure, it would make cool tables, nightstands, etc. Usually they are rotten when they are that size.

These grips are Oak burl.

The table that my computer keyboard is sitting on right now as I write is made from a big white oak burl.
