I submitted my views already. Only takes about 10 minutes to complete.
55 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I didn't mind extending the season but I wasn't fond of an earlier opening. When I first started trapping the season opened in Feburary and closed in March. Later it opened in December and closed the end of March. I just can't see it opening in mid-October.

With today prices, won't take long and folks will be complaining the beaver are disappearing. Wasn't too long ago, they wanted to shorten the season. I tend to follow in the thought process of letting the market decide. If someone wants to submit their feedback, here is a link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2023SpringHearing

I sure like #3 it shouldn't matter if you need to make 5,6,7 pieces to remove a deer from the field
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Any pro or con thoughts on extending the beaver trapping question? I believe they got the current season right. It’s long enough. There are a bunch of reasons making it a poor idea.

I am interested to see if the pike spearing question will pass. It would be a nice tool to have in the toolbox to help increase harvest on some of these lakes that deal with stunting.

Beaver causing problems season automatically opens. Remember APHIS trappers don't have a season . Dane county parks or the Madison city parks has a beaver problem In August they call the beav Or some other trapper. and of course beaver are worth a lot more money once the season closes.
