50,000,000x$1,000,000 is $50,000,000,000,000 That's 50 trillion dollars. It's taken the US 100 years to get in debt 30 trillion dollars. This reparations would nearly triple that debt overnight. Where would this money come from? They would just increase the money supply and create it out of thin air.
Of course this would create hyper inflation, and would result in economic collapse.

I hope the politicians who are promoting this are just doing it to gain votes from ignorant people. I sure hope they aren't really stupid enough to think it would work.

I doubt very much it will be a one time payment-most likely spread out over 30 years or so.
Probably paid monthly like a basic income cheque.
They look at it as an economic stimulator.(I suspect a good chunk of it will stimulate the black market)
Those people will spend that money, not tie it up long term.

EXACTLY!!! take their Reparations and give it back to the taxpayers that have been supporting them for Generations!!! FAIR is FAIR!!! Then I believe the American Indians were mistreated before the slaves were sold into slavery by their own people. Where are their Reparations.

You won’t really see it in history books but a lot of native Americans were sold at into slavery just not in the US, they were shipped overseas and sold there, often in to Northern Africa and the Middle East, if you read the letters Columbus wrote to his brother in one he is lamenting that he was having trouble finding young Indians an women to buy and ship home because the market wanted 9 to 12 year olds and all he was finding were to old to be of interest

The rest of the story is American Indians and Africans were enslaving people too. In fact slavery still exists in Africa. Real slavery. People bought and sold. With all the opportunity in our country today I have no sympathy for deadbeats who blame all their problems on other people. No sympathy. At all. None.

Unfortunately most blacks that are too lazy to work or wont work hard enough to make a good living gladly embrace the liberal ideology that they are victims of racial oppression. I guess it’s easier for them to believe the victim mentality than to understand they are the problem. I know several black people who have made good money throughout their life. It’s because they worked their butts off to get it and they don’t believe the BS victim crap. They understand like anyone with good sense that regardless of your race you deserve nothing more than you are willing to work for.

The world aint perfect. it never will be. thats no excuse to whine and bawl that others are supposed to care for you. i know white people like that right here in rural ks. if you dont think they got lots of excuses you never listened to them blubber. I have no sympathy for deadbeats who blame all their problems on other people. No sympathy. At all. None.
