you must understand the entire system is designed to be as great of an inconvenience to acquisition as they think they can possibly make it with a razor thin Veil of "in the interest of public safety".


young people 18-20 are currently experiencing a 13 business day hold with NICs , this was done with the idea that it would give the FBI time to check into the backgrounds of these gun buyers.

the reality is it puts a 13 business day delay on buying your 5th shotgun of the year even if you have passed Nics 6-7 times already

there is also no indication the FBI is staffing the new department to check into 18-20 year old purchases , so fully expect that when the next mass shooting happens the 20 year old that commits it bought the gun waited 13 business days there were ample warnings the FBI would have seen if they had looked , but they are not looking they are just using this as a delay. by the way the people who fought nics in the first place 30 years ago knew this is exactly how NICs would get used and that was why if you didn't have a proceed or deny in 5 days the dealer could just hand you the gun , because the system had failed to do it's job in a timely fashion.

I'll wait till they pass the hearing protection act and buy it over the counter. I'm done jumping through the Gov. hoops. After all they don't work like in the movies.
