Tanned a few pelts last couple days.
Half a dozen small and kit beaver, half a dozen rats, and a couple mink and fox.
Got several more fox and rats to do,and a couple small marten and a damaged lynx.

[Linked Image]

Sent some fur to the tannery also-a few wolves ,otter, fisher and some bigger lynx.

You do good work Boco. Hats off to you... Excellent way to utilize certain species and sizes that won't get the $$ reward from the fur market. A good display helps the visual value. smile

Yea,makes sense for me to tan those here at home.Small beaver, rats, fox etc pretty easy to do with minimal effort compared to the bigger heavier leathered stuff.Pretty much a spare time project,if you stilt it to have stuff going in and coming out every couple days for a couple weeks.Doesnt really feel like work that way.
Not much choice really-the small stuff is too costly to send to the tanner, and shipping them is a low return for effort.

Got to admire how you make the most out of your trapping efforts. You sure seem to have figured things out over the years...your industry and perseverance certainly do you proud.

Makes me want to up my game a little as well.

Nice!
I was going to pull out the Trubond kit and do a coon, mink & fisher but Jurassic gave me a price for a professional tan that I couldn’t turn down.

Lovely fox, and the others.

Boco. Put the dang furs in better light and take a close up shot . As close as possible, getting them all in the frame.

The furs are so nice, better lighting, especially sunlight with the right angle, would show them off very well.
