2 days, 2 birds, about 3hrs total hunt time. Totalof 7 longbeards came in together this morning. The wind was blowing so hard, they didn't even flinch when I dropped mine. The strutter didn't even miss a beat.

It’s been rough here in north central WV. Good gobbling opening day but they henned up quick, but I did get some awesome decoy interaction with some jakes. Today two gobbled off the roost three times apiece and that was it. Never heard another bird and I stayed until 1pm prevailing time.

Agree w that. Youth Saturday heard several birds each of the 3 places we went. My boy shot his at noon and they were still gobbling hard when we left. Yesterday and today were totally different. Cold and wind a put a damper on em for a bit.

I heard my first gobbler this morning. I am sure they must be wearing snowshoes.

Shot one this morning around 6:30. He was with 4 other long beards. They hung around and watched him flop. Then 5 jakes showed up to join the party.

I thought turkey hunting was hard ?

Have not heard a Gobble al, week. Cold and Windy.

It must be harder than deer hunting, there are a lot more deer killed than turkeys.
