Scott, this is what I take. Most store bought vitamins are synthesized...using non natural ingredients. Bad. They do not absorb into the body well and you end up eliminating them . Plus, if vit K2, and magnesium for total utilization, is not included , the money spent is wasted. The body works on natural supplements as a cooperative team , one nutrient depending on another for complete absorption and utilization throughout the body. I've spent some decades studying this , and always keep up to date and look for the best for my money.

Never get cheap over the counter synthesized "vitamins".

This D3 has good ingredients, and good high dosage IU's, so you don't need to take a lot. I usually take two in winter, one in summer.

In this link, scroll on down and read the ingredients and what they do.

This is what my wife and I take, 5 to 10 thousand IU. Heck we are even drinking his coffee and it isn’t bad.

I was born with a hole in my heart. The Doctor told my mom to put me in the sun twice a day for 45 minutes and that’s how the hole closed up. That was a long time ago and I still kicking.

I take liquid cod liver oil, lot of benefits, vitamins including D, omega 3's, etc. You can't get more natural then that, lol
Seal oil is good too, but not available in the US.

I started taking Vitamin D-3 a couple years ago. It improved my mood in the middle of the winter when we have our darkest months. I decided to try increasing to 20,000 IUs and now I am whistling zipideedooda all day.

Many Alaskans get a deficiency in the winter and you can see it in their mood. People working in offices all day are at each other's throats by December.

You can see it on this forum with people getting moody too.

Even people in tropical regions can have a deficiency.

I buy Healthy Origins brand. Its made with avocado oil, instead of all the others that are made with soybean oil, and we all know that stuff causes joint pain, and is poison.

Its good to know that it protects from dementia.

Vitamin D is beneficial for many health conditions and overall health. Been on Vitamin D permanently for the last 3 years so far. Even out here most people have a Vitamin d deficiency. Mine was low and even rx barely moved it up. I also take many other vitamins and supplements daily to help ease the fibro and other conditions. A good buddy who is a nurse and a body builder taught me a multi is ok but taking the Vitamin is so much better.

Vitamin D is absorbed from the sun through your skin, and eyes. Unless you walk around naked( like we used to do) you probably have a deficiency.

Exactly! Add to that most people use products that inhibit Vitamin d absorption.

Its been proven that unless you live near the equator and are outside most of the time you are deficient. My wifes parents got tested a few months ago. They spend a lot of time out in the sun sunbathing. They were surprised to learn that even by the FDA standards they were low. Studies have shown that if your D levels are above 50 you have zero chance of dying from covid. Very few people are above 50.

Went for my VA check up in March, doc told me that my vit D was too high. Was having lots of arthritis pain in my hands and back. Was takingtwo softgels in supplement, she said to only take one. Haven’t had the joint pain that I was having, but the cold always is a big driver of that any way!
