Our Walmart had angus prime rib marked down and on sale for $5.00 a lb right after Easter. I spent $140 and slice 44 steaks down to one inch thick.

What a deal! Some mighty good eatin!

Funny how drinking 8 cups of water a day seems like a lot, but 8 beers in 3 hours goes down like a fat kid on a see-saw.

Local store has T-Bone / Porterhouse sales @ $3.99 every month or so.
I keep a good stock on hand.

I had to Google the differences in the two types of steaks.
Does that hamper a persons Man Card retention ?

Label looks like it says product of USA, Canada, or Mexico, that black marrow & lack of USDA grade or marbling screams mehico. I fell for it once, never again. On a positive note they left a pretty nice filet on there could almost consider that a porterhouse.

I'm guessing at that price and no grade it would about have to be mex

Good is a relative term. Only based of one's experience. Got a friend who likes to grill and has over 3 or 4 times a year. He always is telling us how good his steaks are then asks us how we liked them afterwards, don't have much choice but tell them they are good though they are terribly dry and tough. Wife told me once after leaving there she felt bad that they never evidently had good steaks before. I know where he buys the steaks and we don’t even buy burger there when we run out. Will say we are a bit spoiled with raising our beef and eating nothing but choice and prime beef. I've even find flavor and tenderness hit and miss at good steak houses once in awhile.

Sometimes the best deals and tenderest steak are the half rotten ones, I mean the aged ones, that are in the discount bin b/c everyone is scared of them.
