Anybody on here use it as your cell phone provider? They are supposed to run off AT&T towers I think.

I've had straight talk for years , no problems . They use Verizon towers and have better coverage in rural areas than At&t . At least for me .

I dumped Verizon several months ago and and went to AT&T, shoulda done it long ago.

I went to ATT it seems customer service wise they all suck but once I got things straightened out ATT was cheaper and service is the same call wise. The State gave me a ATT phone last summer for the Ranger/CO job so I was able to compare Verizon and ATT services along the river areas, a good test.

I use my phone for Oncall mostly for the Sheriff’s Office transports so I’m not paying for services I don’t use like some folks with $200 bills nope won’t do it. Version would not renew my first responder discount even after sending in the paperwork work several times, then they offered me a senior discount that raised my bill $20. LOL I removed that and it still went up to $67 for a phone I don’t use much.

ATT put me on their first responder program when I signed up put in a Firstnet SIM card that adds emergency towers to my phone usage for even better service for $50 a month after I had some shady cloud and insurance garbage removed from the monthly bill. Phone companies are pretty shady the phone they said was $600 if you look around the store is a $160 I you buy it outright. It was a dollar a month when I signed up. Accessories are crazy expensive outrageously so but discounted under the first responder program making it less painful.

Wife had Straight talk but the first years she was getting a crazy amount of spam called several a day even. It’s like they sold your info to make a buck the calls were crazy.

I still have a flip phone and have had one since I stepped up from a bag phone. Remember those days?

I buy my phone cards at Walmart. It used to be Total Wireless now Verizon bought them out. It's called Total Verizon now or some such name.

$30 a month for me. It was $25 a month until Verizon took over recently. Good service except some very low areas or known dead zones. They have always been that way regardless of your phone service provider.
